General questions

Our aim is to simplify the recruitment of self-employed hospital workers. Efficiency and ease are the key words.

Efficiency: Fleximed brings together self-employed workers (nurses, care assistants and medical imaging technologists) looking to work in care establishments on temporary assignments.

Ease of use: Fleximed incorporates a tool for managing the invoicing of assignments and takes care of the payment of freelancers’ services, making life easier for them and for care establishments.

We currently take on nurses, care assistants and medical imaging technologists.

You can contact us via our contact form or by writing to us at fleximed@fleximed.be

We specialise in temporary assignments: from one to several days. However, we have taken particular care to make it easy to repeat similar assignments. It’s very easy for a freelancer and a care establishment to work together on a regular basis if they work well together.

Healthcare professionals with self-employed or complementary self-employed status can carry out missions. They can also register as a company, but only directors are authorised to create missions (currently only one per company).

In all cases, healthcare professionals must be legally authorised to work in their field in Belgium (diploma(s), professional visa, etc.).

They must also have professional insurance in order.

In addition, we do not accept assignments relating to services subject to VAT.

Questions for the self-employed

Download our application from the Play Store or App store (link) and follow the instructions to create your account in just a few minutes.

Temporary assignments lasting from one day to several days. The skills and details of what is expected of you are given by the institution offering the assignment.

If this sounds like you, you can apply.

There are many advantages:

  1. No commission is deducted from freelancers’ earnings
  2. No intermediary between the freelancer and the department where he or she is going to work: the freelancer is in direct contact with the head of the department looking for the freelancer
  3. Real-time view of current, past and future assignments in the app
  4. Quick and easy invoicing
  5. The freelancer chooses directly with whom, where and when they want to work

The application can be installed free of charge to browse the jobs on offer once you have registered. If you decide to go further and apply for an assignment, you will need to be a subscriber (pricing).

100% of the profits go to the self-employed person. We take no commission from either the self-employed person or the hospital. You only pay a subscription fee to use the FlexiMed platform.

Personal information is processed in accordance with our RGPD charter and is stored on servers in Europe that are protected in accordance with industry standards.

We do not carry out assessments of health establishments or health professionals.

The invoicing process is greatly simplified.

For each site where a freelancer works, he or she regularly has the opportunity to send his or her hours sheet to the manager. Once these have been validated, the freelancer can generate and send an invoice directly from the application.

This invoice is sent to FlexiMed, which pays the freelancer as soon as possible.

FlexiMed does not impose any selection criteria: it is up to the healthcare establishment to decide with whom it wishes to collaborate, according to its own search criteria for each assignment and the applications it receives for each assignment.

You can contact us via our contact form (indépendant) (établissement) or by writing to us at fleximed@fleximed.be.

Professional information is managed in the application profile.

Fleximed is currently only available in Belgium. The geographical areas in which we offer assignments depend on the agreements signed with healthcare institutions. This is changing rapidly, so don’t hesitate to take a regular look at the assignments offered on the platform.

We require freelancers to provide all the documents necessary to prove their competence and right to work in Belgium as a healthcare professional in accordance with Belgian law.

We also ask them to provide proof of professional insurance cover.

These documents can be consulted by the institutions before they accept a freelancer’s application for an assignment.

We require freelancers to provide all the necessary documents to prove their skills and right to work in Belgium as a healthcare professional in accordance with Belgian law. They may also provide a CV or any other documents they consider useful.

All these documents can be consulted by the institutions before they accept a self-employed person’s application.

Recruitment is handled by the institutions using the documents provided by the freelancers on the platform or, if necessary, by direct contact with the freelancer.

In addition, institutions have the option of notifying Fleximed of unreliable freelancers so that we can rule out those who do not meet the requirements of the platform and its member institutions.

They will make themselves known by applying for the assignments that interest them.

You can also add freelancers with whom you work regularly to a list of favourites. They will then receive a notification when you post an assignment that matches their skills.

Invoices from self-employed workers are managed and paid by FlexiMed on the basis of the hours worked by them. These services must first be validated by the care establishments via the application.

Each month, we send you a general invoice for each site, covering all the services provided by the freelancers who have worked there.

Particular attention is paid to the experience of institutions on our platform.

If you already work with us, you can contact us via the channels we have provided so that we can help you.

If you don’t work with us yet, you can use our contact form.

Each department chooses the person(s) responsible for recruitment via FlexiMed. This person can create, modify or delete assignments for their department.

Once an assignment has been posted, freelancers can apply for it. The manager then selects the appropriate candidate(s) for the assignment and a contract is signed to validate the agreement.

Once a week at the most, each freelancer can send his or her hours sheet to the manager for validation.

Fleximed is currently only available in Belgium and Luxembourg.
